Jessica Ruth Shepard received her professional training as a Holistic Health Counselor from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition in New York City, where she studied and became an expert in over one hundred dietary theories and practical lifestyle-coaching methods. Prior to her study in holistic health counseling, Jessica participated in a concentrative body work program at Antioch College, managed a yoga and Pilates studio in Denver, Colorado, while simultaneously running her own successful massage practice, and worked with hundreds of athletes on numerous cycling tours, in addition to privately. Jessica has studied several alternative healing methods, including: The Rosen Method, Polarity Therapy, and stress reduction techniques. Drawing on her extensive knowledge, along with her own unique life experiences, Jessica will help to create a completely personalized "roadmap to health" that suits your unique body, lifestyle, preferences, and goals.
By an early age, Jessica was fascinated by the ways in which the human body could be healed. Brought up by a mother who insited on whole, organic, homemade foods, and a father who was an Osteopathic Medical Doctor, Jessica naturally felt and saw a connection between what was put into the body, and how the body functioned. Since then, Jessica has been working, officially and unofficially, as a healer. Through her numerous travels, experiences, studies, and own struggles with her body and wellness, Jessica has gained powerful and invaluable knowledge about the healing arts and what they can do.
